Kakenya Ntaiya knows first hand the transformative power of education. As a young Masai girl in a rural Kenyan village she fought against tribal traditions that expected her to drop out of school and get married at the age of 12. After earning her Phd. in education she went back to her village to start a boarding school for Masai girls. Now her dream is to expand her school to give more girls the opportunity to avoid early childhood marriage, the get an education, and to pursue their own dreams.
