It’s not easy to break centuries of traditions that have devalued women in some cultures, but Kakenya Ntaiya for the past 10 years has been changing the future for Maasai girls in Kenya through the power of education. In addition to academics she’s teaching them they can say no to FGM or female genital mutilation & they can say no to becoming a child bride. This video celebrates the work of her school, Kakenya’s Dream, that teaches girls they have the freedom to be whatever they want to be and equips them with the skills to be successful.
