Fresh from the Munich Biennale, where SHALL I BUILD A DAM? celebrated its world premiere just last Saturday, this Tischlerei co-production is now coming straight to the Deutsche Oper Berlin as a Berlin premiere.
In a composition by Kai Kobayashi, Simone Aughterlony (choreography, direction) and Joseph Wegmann (lighting design, stage) transform the Tischlerei with LED tubes into a sensory space in which the aggregate states of water can be experienced and feminism and gender fluidity are measured. As conceptual and coded as it is haptic and hydrophilic.
Premiere on 21 Jun in the Tischlerei - with further performances on 22/27/28/29 Jun 2024.
