"Agga": track 2 from my new album, Dead (out December 8th).

~ * ~ T H E S O N G ~ * ~

"Agga" was the first song I wrote for the album (August 5th). I wrote "Enn Sosden" immediately after (August 7th), so they sounds pretty similar. I honestly think "Enn Sosden" is a more a solid track, but I like the transition from electronica to rock in "Agga"

Oh yeah, so in case you're unfamiliar, a lot of my working titles come from just typing random characters. I tried to do that with this song, but wasn't getting anything I liked and just named it "Agga," after a Vinesauce Joel meme thing. He had some Xplit problems on a stream where all he could do was type, he typed AGGA, and it became a meme for some reason. Idk. I thought it was funny, so I named this song AGGA (but not in all caps cuz Soundrop would get mad at me for that).

AGGA MOMENT

The song started with the chords in the intro. I improv'd a little synth lead on top and that became the main melody. In the verse, I came up with some fun rhythm guitar stuff, but didn't really know what to do lead-wise at first. I eventually recorded a little vocal melody with lyrics that worked pretty well. I decided against the vocals though, since nothing fit the chorus and it felt weird to have vocals come in and then leave for the rest of the song lol. So I just played it on guitar and it sounds cool, yayy.

I came up with the little solo thing after the second chorus on its own, with no chords or anything. I was just playing to the click and vibin'. Wrote some chords based on it, put some drums under it and cool, solo.

Since I wrote this one and and "Enn Sosden" first, I thought the album was going to be mostly anime/pop-punk stuff like this. So I made the working title for the album "anime album." They're actually the only songs like this on the album, sooo yeah.
