Hanwha Defense is leading UK Team Thunder to propose the world's most proven self-propelled howitzer - K9 - for the British Army.
The K9A2 - the most up-to-date version of the K9 - is an artillery game changer. It is an advanced, 52 calibre, 155mm self-propelled howitzer with high levels of mobility, firepower, serviceability, survivability and automation, delivering accurate, rapid and consistent artillery effects at +40km range. The K9A2 can fire up to 10 rounds per minute.
The British variant of K9A2 with Composite Rubber Track will provide rapid ‘in to’ and ‘out of’ action, coupled with high levels of tactical mobility and automation. It will deliver opportunities for novel artillery employment and enables fast moving, shoot and scoot operations, to enhance survivability and extend battlefield coverage.
