While the Korea-Poland defence partnership is strengthening through major arms acquisition deals, Hanwha Defense, the largest defense company in South Korea, presented its advanced defence solutions during the MSPO 2022 arms fair in Kielce, from Sept. 6-9, in Poland.
In August, Hanwha Defense signed an executive contract with the Polish Ministry of Defence to supply a package of K9 Self-Propelled Howitzers and 155mm ammunition, and both sides are discussing follow-up contracts for the sake of the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces. In line with the growing defence partnership, Hanwha Defense and PGZ have inked a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation on the development, production, and service of various weapons systems such as self-propelled guns, infantry fighting vehicles and long-range precision-guided rockets.
