Jumpman by Epyx/EuroGold, loaded from tape
I had no idea this was on tape - I knew about Jumpman Junior, which had both tape and cartridge releases, but this? No idea! According to the tape image I have, it's from 1986, which is 3 whole years after the original release.
So obviously Jumpman was not designed for tape, and not released that way, so how they handled it is you essentially load in level sets - I only played a few levels here, because I am tired and not good at games generally right now, but.... honestly? It seems a pretty decent way of handling it! As long as you record the tape counters, much like something like lemmings, you can get where you want pretty easily. Yeah, it requires some displine, but for a tape conversion of a US disk only game? It's actually really well done!
I do believe there exists a USA epyx tape version as well, at least via some forums - I don't have that... I'd like to get a hold of it though!
