The brand new custom map for Jump King Madness 6 is out! (im late)
The tournament will be held this weekend and leaderboard positions up to the date will determine seeding and there is a small prize for fastest run before the tournament and an even bigger one for the tournament itself.
Now that I have sub 2:55, it's all about trying to catch the wind cycle earlier, rather than just getting micro PBs from improving my post-wind. Hopefully on the day no one is cranking out sub 2:50s but there are some really good players playing and that'll probably be the norm by then. Just gotta lock in and do my best!

Sub 8 is imminent.
*0 unintentional falls, played on v1.01.
Only differences between the original release and the new workshop one is that there is an extra tile on the ledge jump in The Well and the low gravity walking speed is no longer faster than the normal walking speed.
A few more skips executed in this run, with more to come in my final run. For my next and final run, Im going for top 3 and 3rd place is a 7:55. Very much doable when you understand that this run was actually very slow (for a top level standard) in movement, but I didnt make any costly mistakes like normal and utilised many more skips. Tower was particularly slow, so I need to work on my nerve control, but it was fine for this run because I wasnt aiming for sub 8 (got very close tho).

Some Area 3 cringe lost me a really great run, but for now, this is still really good. I did playtest this map so I had some prior knowledge coming into this, but still learnt many strats from Hybriiid and there are still a lot of strats that I know about but didnt do in the run because they are too risky. Sub 2:50 has to be possible and maybe even a mid 2:4X.
Also, with this full release, the VVVVVV map was changed and made some things I do in my speedruns impossible, so I added OLD VER to each of them. Apparently, BftB will be added to speedrun.com, so thats pretty cool.

The reason that there are two separate categories for nerfed/unnerfed is that the map was released with two versions in mind. Unlike every other custom map, this one planned to have two versions on release and were intentionally made to be completely different (in difficulty). My previous video was beating the unnerfed/original version of the map, but that is way too hard (in my opinion) to speedrun. The nerfed version gave me the ability to speedrun this map without it being the worst nightmare imaginable (despite area 7 giving me headaches).
I plan to leave this run for at least a while but my end goal would be sub 10. I got too much to do now that Waterfall Babe (a map in the works for over 2 years) is finally coming out this weekend and there will be tons of content within that map so stay tuned.
WR because CrazyNeighbour hasnt beat the map and therefore hasnt speedran it yet.
