A federal judge has ordered the Ten Commandments monument on the Arkansas State Capitol grounds to be removed, saying the law used to erect it violates the First Amendment's Establishment Clause. U.S. District Chief Judge Kristine Baker issued the permanent injunction overnight Tuesday March 31, 2026, but said the removal is stayed while the state appeals the order to the U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
