In this video, we explore the fascinating phenomenon of Joule-Thomson cooling that occurs when baking soda and vinegar react to produce carbon dioxide. Joule-Thomson cooling is a process in which a gas cools as it expands against a pressure difference. When baking soda and vinegar react, they release carbon dioxide gas, which expands rapidly and cools down. This reaction can be used to demonstrate the principles of thermodynamics and the Joule-Thomson effect in a simple and fun way.
We will begin by showing you the materials needed to conduct this experiment, including baking soda, vinegar, a plastic bottle, and a temporal scanner. Then, we will walk you through the step-by-step process of mixing the baking soda and vinegar producing carbon dioxide gas. The expansion of the gas causes the temperature to drop!
This video is perfect for science enthusiasts, students, and anyone curious about the fascinating world of thermodynamics. So sit back, relax, and join us on this cool scientific journey!

![Density of Water-Linear Regression [AP Biology 1.1]
Hi biology friends! I created this tutorial video covering how you can use Google Sheets to perform linear regression analysis.
The data set Ive analyzed in this video was from my trial run of a new lab for AP Biology. In the lab, students use micropipettes to transfer water into a test tube in 200 μL (0.200 mL) increments. The mass of the water is measured after each transfer. I will add a link to the video summarizing this lab when I finish it.
Coming Soon! Determining the Density of Water - AP Biology Lab
Density is one of the important emergent properties of water covered in Unit 1.1 of the AP Biology Course & Exam Description (CED).
