Yes. You heard me right. Do NOT buy this camera until the issues I put forward are resolved. Mainly:
- Problems with file structure. The camera does not properly end H265 files so it is impossible to skip between video segments to find what you need with many files. This also results in occasional corruption of files meaning the camera has low reliability. Tested across 5 different memory cards
- App required for camera set up and install. Dashcam app by a surveillance and security camera company is require for install. Presently there are no reviews on the app and less than 100 downloads
- The official video player is flagged as a computer virus and would not launch on my PC. Apparently this is the way to solve some of the video corruption issues and get audio from the camera but it would not work for me and I am not white listing it and risking my PC. That's a huge issue.
Cameras like this should just work. If I couldn't figure it out, and I consider myself fairly well versed in tech stuff, I don't think anyone who is lower skill at technology will have a good time with it.
It's so unfortunate that this camera had these issues as it seems to be very well built.
