If you know you're going to use your new ebike don't make the same mistake as me and buy a not cheap but not expensive e-bike. Even the moderate cost e-bikes tend to have the worst tier components. Buy from a reputable brand name and spend a bit more than I did. This NCM Moscow Plus, despite having brand name drive train, is barely a step up from a department store bike yet because it is an ebike it is priced like a decent quality mountain bike.
Plus, if you get a good quality electric bike the battery will not be sketchy. I like not having my house burn down :D
