"Altro Mondo" is a "self-imagined" compilation album featuring mostly a collection of guest appearances and collaborations by the British progressive rock vocalist & bassist John Wetton (Lead Vocalist of Asia, UK, and King Crimson)
I chose this album title as I feel that most of John Wetton's songs are simply from another world. It is also the name of a nice instrumental track by John Wetton from his solo album "Rock of Faith". The brilliance of his music is truly astounding. John Wetton made so many songs that can easily gain the title of timeless. These songs are not amongst his commonly mentioned tracks, and that is why I have made a mix including them. To recreate a spark of life, and have a mix that helps lead more people to discover songs that they are unfamiliar with.

6 years have gone by since John Wetton passed away. The hurt on my heart is just the same as the day I found out. I dreaded the thought of this being a reality that I would see someday, how it pains me... God only knows. The world lost one of the greatest musicians of all time on that tragic day.
I admired John Wetton very much so. He was a hero of mine. His music touched my heart and soul in the most beautiful way. John Wetton gave me much hope and inspiration through the years. I cant name many people that I adore in the same way as John Wetton. He holds an extremely special place in my life.
With him being gone my heart cries out in deep pain time and time again. There is a part of me that will never be the same. As I type this, tears fall from my eyes as rain, silently. Truly, the brightest ring around the moon has darkened. He was a gift from above, a living miracle, a man so great that words cannot justify who he was. Even though I did not know him personally, growing up I felt as if he was my friend. One that I could turn to and find comfort in. His songs brought so much happiness into my life.
John Wettons wonder shines on through his magnificent creations. Today is not solely a reminder that he is gone but it is a day that gathers us all to remember him for the extraordinary musician that he was and to appreciate what he have us all. The gift of musical treasures along with a spirit of joy.
