In less than three weeks, we will be celebrating the Berlin opera premiere of John Adams' minimal music work NIXON IN CHINA.

During a break in rehearsals, the Berlin directing collective "Hauen und Stechen" and the musical director of this new production, Daniel Carter, outline their musical and thematic associations with the work for us. The amicable disparity of the six quickly makes it clear: this evening will not be commonplace, conformist or formal.

We look forward to the last premiere of the season - on 22 Jun with follow-up performances on 28 Jun and 4/10/12 Jul 2024.
