What is awe — and why does it matter for young children? UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center hosted a virtual screening and panel discussion inspired by Wowsabout!, the Jim Henson preschool special on PBS KIDS.
Experts in psychology, parenting, and education explored how awe develops in early childhood, what the latest research reveals, and how storytelling can spark wonder in kids ages 2–5.
Panelists included:

- Dacher Keltner, Ph.D. – Distinguished Professor of Psychology, UC Berkeley; Faculty Director of the Greater Good Science Center; author of Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life

- Maryam Abdullah, Ph.D. – Parenting Program Director, Greater Good Science Center
