A Jewel Bug (Orsilochides stictica) tremulates while perched on a sunny leaf on a Sida plant (Sida rhombifolia) at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, in Houston, TX, USA. I assume this is some sort of courtship display or at least some sort of intraspecies communication mechanism, as there were other Jewel Bugs in this patch of plants this day.
