I made this trailer awhile ago but never uploaded it, hence the Summer 2011 in the title. I rewatched the vid and decided I still liked it, but because I didnt have the Vegas file anymore I couldnt fix the date.
This is my first try at a romantic comedy trailer, and since this is a very noncanon couple (seriously theres practically nothing of them in the show) its also a very largely manipulated trailer.
The plot is something I made up, and I hope its pretty understandable from the trailer.

In this vid I just wanted to focus on the anticipation, excitment, danger, and joy of horses and racing. I only used crossfades and fade to black -anything else in the video (white flashes, slow motion, velocity) was already the form of the original footage.

Judges Notes:
I decided to make a character study for Arthur Pendragon of BBC Merlin. I found this song by accident one day and was amazed at how fitting the lyrics were for his story.
What I wanted to convey, was Arthurs struggle to grow out from under his fathers (Uthers) shadow and into the man that would be king someday. To do so he must first realize that, unlike his father, he cannot be alone if he wants to be the king he feels he needs to be. Every time he tries to go it on his own, something bad happens forcing Merlin to save him.
Ever so slowly Arthur finds that he disagrees with Uthers point of view, and begins to cultivate lasting relationships with Gwen, Merlin, and eventually the Knights of the Round Table all people who are able to help him be the best king he can be. In the end Arthur was truly, never meant to fight on his own.
