When I grew up in the Watchtower religion I really enjoyed field service. (recruiting new members and selling litterature) I especially liked the focus on enviromental problems, but the solution was always that god would kill everyone that polluted. The fact that Jehovah Witnesses also polluted was really irritating since Jehovah Witnesses also belive that they are the only ones that will survive armageddon.
I remind my father telling the housholders that the "rules dont apply to us" because Jehovah Witnesses needed to pollut in order to fullfill Mathew 24:14
As a child i thought this was hypocritical but magaged to push all my doubts to the back of my head.
I was very disapointed when I heard Lloyd Evans interview with former bethelite William Morgan about Watchtowers disposal of toxic waste. Maybe its not the worst crime. But if William Morgans aligations are true, this still mean Watchtower is nothing better then other manmade organisations.
