My baby brother turned Apostate!
I thought I would be happy for him, but instead I had to face the fact that our parents don't need to shun two children in order to get martyr status in the congregation.
For a long time I found some kind of confort in knowing that my deluded birth parents loved their religion more then me, and I thought this is honorable since the delursion is real to them.
But now I have to realize that what's most important for them is not "Jehovah" but their status in the congregation. Especially my fathers status as an elder among the Jehovah's Witnesses
