Hey people, here's a cover of the Vertical Horizon track "Everything You Want".
I've got a bunch more of these covers coming that I recorded throughout the year, so stay tuned for those.
This was a song that my brother introduced me to years ago, he probably found the MP3 somewhere on Napster or Limewire back in the day, and I loved the song.
When I went to cover this song, what really helped was a video uploaded by the singer/frontman of Vertical Horizon showing how to play his guitar parts (youtube.com/watch?v=OhIyumCNIIY).
This song has a lot of work in the production side to make it sound the way it does -- the guitar riff is played in two passes, where one pass is played normally and the other in reverse, and there's also quite a lot of percussion and a few filtered drum loops throughout.
