Four Key Steps
Listening: Listen repeatedly to an audio file (without checking the script) until you naturally catch phrases.
Repeating (with script): Use audio files that have pauses. Read aloud word-for-word to match the recording exactly.
Reading Out Loud: Practice the script 10-15 times. Focus on meaning and try to mimic the audio’s rhythm and intonation.
Repeating (without script) & Shadowing: Say each sentence during the pauses without looking, then follow the speaker like a “shadow” a few seconds behind.
Repetition & Review
Cycle back to older audio clips. If you can repeat them easily without the script, you’ve mastered that material. Otherwise, repeat the steps.
