GAME ENGINES BEYOND GAMES was a two-day a symposium that brought together artists, curators and scholars to explore the expanded concept of game engines.
Speaker:
James Malazita is an Assistant Professor of Science & Technology Studies and Games & Simulation Arts & Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic in Troy, NY. He is the founder and director of Rensselaer's Tactical Humanities Lab. He studies the politics and epistemologies of game engines and software, and how they co-produce ways of knowing and interpreting the world.
