This Sunday evening, April 5, 2026, a small dog was shot and killed by a Jacksboro Police Officer—Badge #308—right in its own yard.
The claim was that the dog "tried to bite," but the community is asking: Why was a firearm the first resort against a small pet on private property? And more importantly, why were officers on this property to begin with? When a "peace officer" resorts to lethal force against a neighbor's small dog for no apparent reason, they become a liability to the very citizens they are sworn to protect.
