Two full ad breaks from during Seagull Island, we think from the ATV region on Saturday, 1st August, 1981. Products on offer include Dairy Milk, Carling Black Label, and Anadin (which I suppose when combined add up to the perfect weekend for some), and I was quite fascinated by the positioning of the Yellow Pages as advertising for businesses rather than a directory for customers. I'm sure they shifted away from that angle as time went on. Nice to see the brief Raiders of the Lost Ark trailer, too.
Incidentally, I remember a Little and Large sketch doing the rounds not that long ago of them prancing about while dressed in nappies, and, taken out of context, it really did look like the weirdest most random thing ever. Actually, they were parodying contemporary ads for Cosifits, as seen here.
