Progress on the timber frame cabin is reaching an exciting new stage at Sheraton Park Farms!

We kick things off running errands into town for fuel and supplies before heading straight to the building site. Chuck and his brother Kurt get to work starting on the timber frame roof—using roofing material cut from logs milled right here on our farm!

From there, it's full speed ahead into daily farm operations:
- Checking the young chicks in the brooders, refilling feeders and waterers
- Unloading heavy hog feed by the truckload and checking on the pigs' rapid growth
- Joining Saundra in the mobile farm store as she stocks freezers and preps inventory for the upcoming farmers market
- Moving, feeding, and watering the meat chickens out on fresh pasture

To wrap up the day, Chuck sits down in the rocking chair by the shop for some honest reflection. He talks about why building a timber frame cabin from scratch is a slow, deliberate process—from milling your own lumber to coordinating busy schedules—and shares the deep personal satisfaction that comes from doing the hard work yourself side-by-side with family.
