DIY Cattle Working Pen - Projects TEST A Farm Marriage!
Welcome back to Sheraton Park Farms! In today’s video, we’re taking on a big project – relocating our DIY cattle working pen. Our corral system is built from portable cattle panels, so moving it means breaking it down, mowing the grass in a new spot, and then putting it all back together, head gate and all. Sounds easy enough, right? Well… let’s just say there may have been a few disagreements along the way. 😅
This is real homesteading life – sometimes things don’t go perfectly, but with persistence (and a little bit of arguing), you can get the job done. Whether you’re raising cattle, working on your own small farm, or just curious about what it takes to manage livestock, we hope this video gives you both encouragement and a laugh.
✅ Topics in this video:
How to move a DIY cattle working pen
Using portable cattle panels for livestock
Setting up a head gate and corral system
The reality of farm projects (and farm marriage moments!)
Homesteading encouragement: anyone can do this with a little grit

![Swapping Seeds & Stories With True Grit: Appalachian Ways - A Conversation Among Friends
Andy and Meagas Channel - @TrueGritAppalachianWays
What happens when two homesteading families get together to swap seeds and stories? Today, we’re heading into the mountains to visit our friends Andy and Meagan from True Grit: Appalachian Ways. Inside the Video:
This isnt just a visit; it’s an exchange of the Old Ways.
The Delivery: We’re bringing a spare chicken tractor up to the True Grit farm to help with their poultry expansion.
The Seed Swap: In a true old-fashioned trade, we’re swapping some of our sorghum seed for Andy’s field corn. Keeping these heritage varieties moving is the heartbeat of food independence.
The Tour: Andy and Meagan walk us through their beautiful property, showing us the progress on their gardens, orchards, and that impressive new barn.
The Conversation: No scripts, no agendas—just a genuine look at what homesteading and farming look like in the Appalachian tradition. We talk shop on gardening, infrastructure, and why community is the most important crop you can grow.
