Farming is about so much more than just growing food—it’s about preserving the traditions that bring people together.
In today’s episode, Chuck and Saundra are making major upgrades to the homestead while anchoring the farm in some beautiful heritage practices. We start out in the orchard, where Saundra adds slow-release fertilizer stakes to our fruit trees to maximize our upcoming harvest. From there, she dives into the vegetable beds to prune and stake our tomatoes for optimal airflow and disease prevention.
Meanwhile, Chuck is in the shop prepping the walk-behind push planter for two incredibly exciting, traditional additions to the big garden: heirloom field corn and sorghum (sweet sugar cane)!
