In this Honeymooner's sketch from The Jackie Gleason Show, Ralph (Jackie Gleason) and Alice (Audrey Meadows) are headed to the track for a day of horse racing. However, before they can even get out the door, the entire neighborhood, it seems, stops in to ask if they'll place a bet on their behalf. When the local policeman gets wind of bets being taken, he places a little visit to the Kramdens. Also starring Art Carney.

This episode took place in 1953, a year of many firsts, including, the development of the first polio vaccine and the discovery of the DNA double helix, which revolutionized science and medicine. In entertainment, the first Academy Awards ceremony was televised.
