Danny Thomas pays homage to the burlesque shows of his boyhood, in a series of specials from the 1960s.

This all-star comedy sketch feaures Thomas, a man whose brain is a little clouded by his love for his nurse girlfriend Nanette Fabray. He pays her a visit at her mad scientist-doctor's office of Phil Silvers and hides in the "dummy" chair as patients Tennessee Ernie Ford and Cyd Charisse come and go in an attempt to get rid of their ailments.

The year 1967, saw many big cultural changes, but scientific research and experimentation was at the forefront of the news with the first successful human heart transplant taking place in Sout Africa and the first person cryonically preserved.
