Steve Martin has gone from a writer and funny magician to wild and crazy banjo playing comedian who played to sold out audiences, to movie star, to his current role, as a podcasting sleuth on the hit comedy Only Murders in the Building.
This compilation covers a time early in his career when he both wrote for and appeared on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and a return performance on a reunion show.
Steve Martin's 50 year career has taken him from comedy club stages, to television and film. His career took off when he landed a writing job on THE SMOTHERS BROTHERS COMEDY HOUR in 1967, and he made several appearances on the show. His career in the 70s was mainly stand-up tours and comedy albums before he took on a new role: film star.
He starred in movies such as PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES (1987) and the FATHER OF THE BRIDE films (1991-95). His most recent projects include the hit Hulu series ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING with comedy partner Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
