The base M5 MacBook Pro now starts at $2,000, while the M5 Pro model starts at $2,200. For that extra $200, you get Thunderbolt 5, higher memory bandwidth, 24GB of RAM instead of 16GB, a better processor, and an additional fan.

At that price difference, I think the M5 Pro is a no-brainer. But when the gap reaches $300 to $500, the decision gets harder. How much extra would you pay for the M5 Pro?
