A med student asked whether to buy the iPad Air M4 or the iPad A16. Both are excellent, but for note-taking I'd take the iPad Air.
The big reason is the Apple Pencil Pro, which adds gestures plus magnetic charging and pairing, no cable. The Air also has a fully laminated display, so there's no gap between the glass and the screen, which just feels better to write on. And the Air's cantilever Magic Keyboard beats the A16's kickstand version. If you're a student, get the iPad Air.
