So, Alder lake is out now. And we’ve heard so much about the new CPU platform. Not from intel, obviously, but still. So many leaks had popped up. And finally, and I MEAN FINALLY. It's here. Or at least, it's been announced. And today we take a look at those CPUs and how much more they would cost compared to an AMD system.
Alright, Let's see what intel has, right off the bat, intel's benchmarks show that the 12900K beat AMD’s lineup in both price and performance. Once again, that’s according to intel.
The 12900k As we already knew, has 16 cores and 24 threads. According to intel, it beats the 5950X in 7 out of 9 games tested, but this CPU is priced at around 150 to 170$ less. Newegg sells theirs for 649. And the KF version is even cheaper, 629 on newegg.
Then theres the 12700K. Core configuration 8 performance and 4 efficient cores. Price, its 449$ on newegg. And the KF model is 384 USD per 1000 units. Unfortunately, i cant find any retail prices just yet. Should be something like 419 in stores. Price wise, it would compete with the 5800X. But performance wise, it should also jump a class to match the 5900X.
