Iron Maiden 'Aces High' style A minor guitar solo backing track (Am Hard Rock/80s Heavy Metal)

Scale:
A minor pentatonic
B minor pentatonic (2nd half)

The 2nd half of the rotation is a key change to B minor. Technically it's still in the key of A minor, and that will work but if you want it to sound good - move your shape over to the Bm pentatonic!

This is an Iron Maiden style backing track, influenced by the solo section in 'Aces High'. You can use this to work on the actual Iron Maiden Aces High solo, or just to improvise over the aggressive chord rotation with your own ideas! The whole thing is in Am, although there's a 'key change' feel on the 2nd part of the rotation, where the whole chords lift a full tone, so if you switch to Bm at this point, you'll really sound good!!

Guitar was a USA Charvel So-Cal through a Marshall JCM 800 Mk2 head, bass a Fender Jazzbass through an Ampeg SVT head.
