Em Metal Guitar Backing Track E Minor Uptempo 80s Heavy Metal Backing Track / Hard Rock uptempo jam track for guitar in Em
This a catch heavy metal riff I came up with one day following rehearsals. The whole thing is based around E minor. I think the biggest thing that makes this riff stand out is the 'bouncy' timing it has to it. Whilst we were jamming my drummer did an interesting shuffle with the kick drum, which lead to this idea. I'm even thinking of building on this into a full song, so if this metal backing track disappears all of a sudden, you know why! :)
Basically the chord rotation is
Em - C - D
There's a B thrown in there on the turnaround.
This one is one of my more simple constructions recording wise. Base down the middle, two tracks of guitar hard left and hard right. The Marshall JVM is the key guitar sound in this one. I'm not sure how much this constitutes as an 80s metal backing track, perhaps just a heavy metal backing track. Either way, I had fun making this.
