G major Guitar Backing Track - Sad Melodic Rock Ballad, Slow Jam in G maj
I enjoyed throwing this track together. I layered quite a few guitar together, including my acoustic.I kept it to a very simple chord rotation everyone knows - I V IV in G maj. Sad and melodic ballad at around a slow 67bpm, but still very uptempo and energetic, and conveying much emotion before you even start! There's four tracks of guitars for that really lush sound - two through my Marshall's overdrive channel, and two clean with and nice amount of chorus, sat just low enough in the mix that they're almost hidden, yet add a huge texture to the whole soundscape.
The chord rotation is
Gmaj - Dmaj - Cmaj
The acoustic appears at the beginning and throughout the entire track. I recorded it through my Rode NT1-A (rodemic.com/microphones/nt1-a), and ART Tube Pre (artproaudio.com/) (much like I do with vocals), and then added some slight compression to level the sound a little.
Guitar was a USA Charvel So-Cal through a Marshall JVM410 head, bass a Fender Jazzbass through an Ampeg SVT head.
