HI!
This week I'm getting ready to shoot a one take iPhone only music video and in the hope of making my life easier I decided to make my own 2 handed camera rig to work with my mobile gimble.
Im hoping that spreading the weight over 2 hands will help with my stamina whilst filming and also improve the stability of the footage. I will be showing you how to make a diy iphone video rig out of items I've already got laying around and using my Zhiyun Smooth-Q 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal to do most of the work.
In making a diy video rig it also allows me to bolt extra things to it such as an extra monitor or a microphone. I'll be using an extra monitor for this video shoot so the crew can monitor what im filming during the shoot.
I easily could have purchased a 2 handed camera rig but decided to save some money and have some fun making my own.
