Hey Friends! This week i've had fun recreating the cover photography for Netflix' DAHMER series in my home studio. Home portrait photography is a great way to get creative and try new techniques and after watching DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story on Netflix I really loved the stylized photo of Evan Peters used to promote the show.
The series examines the gruesome and horrific true crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer and the systemic failures that enabled one of America’s most notorious serial killers to continue his murderous spree in plain sight for over a decade.
With fairly minimal and affordable equipment and a bit of time we have recreated the portrait and im very happy with the result. Im also faily new to gel portrait photography so this was a good chance to play with using gels for portraits and also using speedlights for portraits.
