Nancy Guthrie, 84, mother of TODAY co‑anchor Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1, 2026, after failing to show up for a scheduled online church service. She was last seen around 9:45 p.m. on January 31 when a family member dropped her off at her Tucson‑area home.
“According to KOLD News Director Jessica Bobula — the Arizona reporter who received both ransom notes — the second note claimed Nancy Guthrie had died shortly after the abduction, expressed regret, and made no financial demands. Investigators believe it came from the same source as the first note.”
