The return of these local Emergency Alert System uploads. Nearly four months worth of (partially) failed captures!
== August 6, 2025 ==
0:00 - KTIV-DT2 (Gray-owned CW [Plus] affiliate)
This is the only of KTIV's subchannels that relayed the audio for that month's test (the main NBC affiliate no longer plays EAS audio with the ticker, only their CW subchannel; see later recordings)
1:04 - KCAU-DT1 (Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate)
2:23 - KSEZ-FM (iHeartRadio-affiliated station; via EASyPLUS)

4:55 - KSIN-DT1 (Iowa PBS)
First time doing a recording from this station in a long time. Interesting that they received the test through something other than WHO-AM (originator of these kinds of tests for Iowa.)
== October 1, 2025 ==
5:36 - KGLI-FM* (iHeartRadio-affiliated Adult contemporary station; via EASyPLUS)
(*station was changed as for some reason I was not able to pick up KSEZ during September's test.)
The only one I bothered getting a recording for this month. Unfortunately I started taping this right as the local rebroadcast was ending, so any audio besides noise/tape hiss is entirely absent.
== November 5, 2025 ==
6:01 - KTIV-DT1 (Gray-owned NBC affiliate)
KTIV begins showing their ticker again after three months or so of nothing, although strangely with a noticable 2 second delay right as the ticker begins fading in. You can see and hear the visuals and audio lag a little behind as a result. No clue what could be causing that.
6:33 - KTIV-DT2 (Gray-owned CW [Plus] affiliate)
Ditto, albeit with EAS audio present. The visuals are the only thing that lag behind on this station.
7:27 - KCAU-DT1 (Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate)
In a strange twist of events, KCAU displayed the ticker per usual, however the relayed message is noticably absent. Interestingly, it seems an engineer noticed this and overrode the audio with an attention signal to test audio levels. I half expected them to do what they did back in December 2015 and forward the message at a later time, but that was a long shot and as expected it did not happen.
8:16 - KGLI-FM (iHeartRadio-affiliated Adult contemporary station; via EASyPLUS)
9:01 - KAYA-FM (American Family Radio; Religious station)
The most interesting of the entire batch for this month. Notes have been included in the video portion, but basically the station they were monitoring encountered some sort of feedback loop or interference, leading to a cacophony of the attention signal and whatever other stations they (or the relaying station) was monitoring. Had I not been recording the entire relay with my phone simultaneously with everything else, I probably would not have captured this!
Recorded on various dates (August 6; September 3; October 1; and November 5, 2025.) using a mixture of OBS Studio and VirtualDub2. Local television recordings were recorded via DIRECTV Stream. Additional editing and visuals were done in VEGAS Pro 21.0 and Photoshop.
Blah blah blah valid tones. Don't rebroadcast Emergency Alert System tones over the air.
