In this presentation, the Regional Energy Deployment System (ReEDS) team provides an overview of the ReEDS model, the National Laboratory of the Rockies' flagship capacity planning model for the North American electricity system. The team covers what ReEDS does, how it works, key inputs and outputs, and notable model features. ReEDS simulates the evolution of the bulk power system (generation and transmission), from present-day through 2050 and has been used extensively over the past 20 years to inform a wide range of power sector questions and is available to the public.
