And as an industry, we’re working together to deliver that. Along with other electricity providers and organisations, we’ve launched a new framework that’ll help us deliver a more secure, affordable and sustainable electricity system.
The Energy Transition Framework provides the industry with a structure to collaborate as our energy system undergoes significant change. This is important, as the changes we’re going through impact the whole system, so we need a joined-up approach to manage this successfully.
There are 32 organisations who are formally part of the Framework, including generators, retailers, lines companies and industry associations. And, as New Zealand moves towards electrification, we’re all laser-focused on the same goals - an affordable, secure system that works for everyone.
