Hey everyone, it's been a while since I last posted on this channel. I know you still care about the RV content, but Ive had a lot going on behind the scenes with HelloPartner.ai my new AI company.
For the past few years, Ive been building Sal, our local AI assistant for Mac. What started as a personal project to make my own workflow better has evolved into something I think can genuinely help people who work on Macs.
Ive been testing Sal with a small group of users and the feedback has been really positive. The key thing is that Sal runs entirely locally on your Mac so no data leaves your computer. If you work with sensitive documents or client information, that matters a lot to me and Sal delivers on that promise.
I also wanted to address the cost side because a lot of people are paying for multiple AI subscriptions and using only one or two of them. Sal lets you cancel one of those subscriptions because it handles the work that would have gone to a paid service.
The experience is different from the normal chat apps like ChatGPT or Gemini. Instead of opening a new tab, Sal is integrated into macOS so she feels like she is just always present. You can bring her up with the option-space bar and she glances at whatever you have open to give you answers.
