A short film of WWI footage including interviews with WWI veterans and their experiences of fighting in the First World War, the effects of the gunfire in the trenches and what it was like 'going over the top'.

Also includes an account of Captain Neville and his approved idea of using a football for each platoon to kick ahead of them when going over the top, to help them with the fear of what they were about to face.
