The drive along Arkansas Highway 9 from Crows to Morrilton begins at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 5 in the small community of Crows, south of Paron. Traveling northward, the route quickly settles into a rural rhythm, winding through the wooded hills and farmland of western Saline County. Passing through the community of Paron, Highway 9 follows a scenic path marked by rolling terrain and stretches of pine and hardwood forest, with occasional clearings that offer views across the valley.
Continuing north, the highway reaches Williams Junction, where connections can be made to routes heading east toward Little Rock or north toward Perryville. From here, the road enters Perry County and climbs gently through the Ouachita foothills toward Thornburg. Beyond Thornburg, the terrain begins to level out as the highway approaches Perryville, the county seat. The drive from Stillwater to Mannford begins at the intersection of U.S. Route 177 and Oklahoma Highway 51 in Stillwater. Turning onto OK-51 from US-177, we head east on 6th Street towards the edge of town on a 4-lane urban highway.
Leaving Stillwater, we soon cross the intersection with OK-108 as we continue east towards Mannford. Just before the town of Yale, we cross the intersection with OK-18 before entering town on Chicago Ave. Passing through Yale in a blink, and missing the Jim Thorpe House, we continue east along OK-51. Entering the Muscogee (Creek) Nation shortly after leaving Yale, cross intersection with OK-99 before continuing east on highway 51 towards Tulsa.
Entering Mannford at the intersection with Oklahoma Highway 48, we pass through town on Tower Boulevard, crossing Keystone Lake before ending the video at the interchange with Oklahoma Highway 151.

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for about 15 miles southwest along Arkansas Highway 46 from Sheridan to Leola, Arkansas — quiet pine woods and a detour to historic Jenkins Ferry.
This short but classic Grant County run starts at US 270 in downtown Sheridan and follows Arkansas Highway 46 through working timberland and low, flat river country toward Leola. The video begins with small-town cues—local businesses thinning out, school zones and a couple of low-speed stretches—before settling into a steady rural rhythm. AR-46 is a simple two-lane corridor with modest shoulders, gentle curves, and a few mild elevation changes as it rolls southeast. Expect stretches of planted pines, open pasture, and roadside ponds, with the occasional logging truck or farm rig sharing the route. As the miles click by, traffic lightens and the scenery opens into the broad Saline River bottom, where the highway straightens and the forest closes in just a bit. Wayfinding is straightforward: stay on 46, watch for county road signs, and enjoy the easy pace.
Midway through the drive, plan a brief side trip to Jenkins Ferry State Park—signed via a short spur off AR-46—where a quiet riverside clearing preserves one of the Civil War’s Red River Campaign battle sites. Interstate 35 between Edmond and Oklahoma City forms one of the busiest commuter corridors in central Oklahoma, carrying traffic from the northern suburbs directly toward the state’s largest urban core. The drive begins at the junction with OK-66 and US-77 on the south side of Edmond, where the road transitions from a suburban expressway into a major interstate facility. From here, I-35 angles southwest through a corridor defined by commercial districts, office parks, and rapidly developing neighborhoods. Sound walls, updated interchanges, and widening projects reflect the continuous growth of the Edmond–OKC region, and the route serves as a primary connector for residents heading toward downtown, Midtown, and the medical district. Despite its suburban beginnings, this stretch of highway already carries a metropolitan feel, with closely spaced exits serving major arterial routes such as Memorial Road and Hefner Road.
As the interstate continues south, the surroundings become unmistakably urban. The highway passes important crossroads such as Interstate 235 and U.S. 77, funneling traffic toward central Oklahoma City, while overhead guide signs begin directing drivers to the state capitol complex and key cultural districts. The alignment gradually lowers as it approaches the “I-44 curve,” where the roadway bends southwest to join Interstate 44, forming one of the most important freeway-to-freeway interchanges in the region. Continuing east, U.S. 160 passes through the community of Tonalea and shortly after intersects with Arizona State Route 98 — a junction known for its convenience stop, where travelers can fuel up before venturing further into the desert. Beyond this point, the landscape shifts slightly with hints of old mining activity before reaching Tsegi, a small settlement surrounded by sandstone cliffs. The road here is a reminder of both the human and natural history that shaped this corridor.
The final approach to Kayenta is quieter and more open, with flat desert land stretching to the horizon, broken only by mesas rising in the distance. The drive concludes near the junction with U.S. 163, the highway that famously leads north toward Monument Valley. While the last few miles are subdued, the wide skies and subtle changes in the desert scenery capture the character of northeastern Arizona’s highways.

The drive along Tennessee Secondary Route 89 between Kenton and Dresden begins at the junction with U.S. Route 45W in the town of Kenton. From here, the highway travels eastward through open fields before curving north at the intersection with Walnut Grove Road just outside of town. Following this alignment, the road soon enters the Obion River Wildlife Management Area, a protected landscape of wetlands, forests, and open water that provides a distinctly rural and natural backdrop. Crossing the Obion River, the route exits the management area and resumes its eastward course through the agricultural heart of West Tennessee.
After several quiet miles, the highway reaches Sharon, a small community where TN-89 crosses U.S. Route 45E at a local interchange. In Sharon, the route becomes Main Street, passing through the town center before shifting northeastward as the Sharon Highway. This stretch of the road is characterized by a mix of farmland and woodlands, dotted with ponds, creeks, and small recreational sites like the Persimmon Hills Golf Course.
Continuing northeast, TN-89 approaches Dresden, the county seat of Weakley County. As the route enters town, it meets Tennessee Route 22 on the west side before weaving through Dresden’s local grid. The road jogs east at Tennessee Route 239 before resuming its northward course at the intersection with Tennessee Route 54. The segment concludes at Main Street, just west of Dresden’s downtown, where TN-89 continues northward toward its eventual terminus.
