The second shape in this video is a partial rhombic dodecahedron, it has 13 faces and is a major challenge to build, just like the 3-sided pyramid is tough to make.
It is interesting that when building a cubic shape of 8 units, each being a cuboctahedron, that in the center of that shape automatically there is a 9th cuboctahedron. In the second build this property is shown more clear as some of these central cuboctahedra are completed on the outside of the shape.
