Having built the most basic transmit and receive circuits I needed to do a little work to make the UART ready for interfacing to an external circuit.

In this video I build a basic edge detection circuit using a 74LS04 and 74LS00, a basic building block I think will be useful in the future.

I utilize a "here's one I made earlier" breadboard for generating control and bus signals.
