Did you know that in times of the Roman Republic the Hastati used trick weapons like the verutum and other things like this shield: the scutum.
It was made of wood and had the edges lined with iron to avoid the close attacks from the enemy, and also had a big iron piece in the center designed to resist the ranged attacks.
This shield and many other items will appear in our next indie game: Citadelum, that will arrive in 2024.
This new game will be a citybuilding strategy game based in ancient Rome, way before it was an empire, and you will be able to expand your domains fighting alongside with the incredible Roman Legion.
You will build your own settlement, expand your domains, explore the map with the Roman Legion and try to gain the favor of the gods. Rise to the Roman Pantheon, build temples, bring gifts and do your best!
