Everyone knows about the Roman Empire, but what about the Roman Republic?
This time, the roman soldiers had to buy their own weapons and armor for the battle, and the youngest soldiers, the Velites, could only afford the cheapest equipment, since they were the poorest section of the army.
The velites used to get equipment for a ranged combat, while other classes could afford better weapons for close combat, like the Hestati.
Why do you need to know all of this? Because we are working on our next indie game: Citadelum, a citybuilding/strategy game based in ancient Rome, in times of the Republic.
You will be able to build and manage your settlement, explore the map alongside the Legion, expand your domains and trade resources, and more!
There will be mythical encounters, where you will be able to rise to the Roman Pantheon and try to gain the favor of the gods... You can build temples, bring gifts and more, but keep your eyes open, the gods could be very jealous...
