In this video I modify my 5th generation Intel NUC to have a 10 gigabit fiber network connection using a Mellanox connectx-3 adapter and a m.2 to pcie adapter and some custom case surgery. Power-efficient home labs are all the rage right now, and the NUC is an incredibly power efficient little computer capable of running ESXi and serving virtual machines, but it suffers from a lack of network connectivity options.
